Determining Eligibility to the Coca Cola Scholarship


If you are one of the outstanding high school seniors graduating this academic year, you may have been encountering many scholarship program offers arriving at your door. Although most of these scholarship grants have very attractive benefits, you should also assess the financial aid that you can get from the scholarship program. One of the most recommended student scholarship grants available in the United States is the Coca Cola Scholarship program.

The Coca Cola Scholars Program is open to all high school seniors who have reached the criteria set by the scholarship board. To become eligible for this college financial aid by the Coca Cola Foundation, the applicant should be a US citizen or a student who permanently resides in the United States. The scholarship program selects 250 students each year to receive a four-year scholarship grant. The performance of the student during this period would determine the continuance of the scholarship benefits.

The Coca Cola Scholarship application has a specified deadline that should be strictly met in order for a student to qualify for the scholarship program. The program accepts about 2,200 applicants each year in which 250 finalists are to be chosen. The 250 students who have qualified for the last screening are guaranteed to receive financial aid from the organization. The top 50 students from this list are eligible to receive scholarship awards amounting to a total of $20,000. These students are referred to as the National Scholars of the Coca Cola Scholarship program. The other 200 students, or also known as the Regional Scholars each receive a total of $10,000 to support their college education.

To become eligible for the Coca Cola Scholarship program, the student should be a graduating senior from the schools accredited by the scholarship board. The eligibility to the scholarship grant is also open for students who are temporary residents of the United States as well as for refugees, humanitarian parolees, asylees and Cuban-Haitian immigrants. The applicants should be anticipated high school graduates during the application. The qualified students are also required to take up Bachelor’s degree programs from an accredited college or university. He or she should also have a GPA of 3.00 or higher during their junior year.
